Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center is seeking a full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our dedicated team, working remotely from Augusta, Georgia. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to develop a comprehensive understanding of each patient’s trauma history, ensuring tailored treatment plans align with their unique needs.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans prioritizing trauma recovery, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that help patients process their trauma, develop coping strategies, and foster resilience and healing.
\n
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care, optimizing treatment efficacy and patient outcomes.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services, equipping patients with immediate support during trauma-related emergencies.
\n
• Engage patients and their families in education about trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance their understanding and involvement in the treatment process.
\n
• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of patient interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health records (EHR) systems.
\n
• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to foster continuous improvement in treatment approaches and maintain alignment with trauma-informed care practices.

• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continuously enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge base.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with survivors of trauma, including individuals experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Providing support to this vulnerable population requires sensitivity, empathy, and a comprehensive understanding of trauma's impact on mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia.
\n
• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on trauma-informed care preferred.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions with measurable outcomes.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a compassionate and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.

• The ability to maintain composure and effectiveness in high-stakes and high-stress situations is essential.

• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems and standard office software.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
