Work Environment

This role is an onsite position focusing on home care services, where you will visit patients within their residences to provide personalized physical therapy treatments. Our facility is designed to accommodate a wide range of therapeutic interventions and is well-equipped with modern rehabilitation equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to identify the specific goals and needs of each patient upon intake.
• Design and implement individualized care plans that incorporate a variety of treatment techniques, focusing on pain management and mobility enhancement.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, typically servicing one patient per hour to ensure high-quality, personalized care.
• Deliver cost-effective treatments that minimize reliance on medications and explore non-surgical alternatives for rehabilitation.
• Document patient progress meticulously to evaluate treatment effects and maintain open communications with patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Utilize various physical therapy modalities and tools, including manual therapy techniques, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, providing education on rehabilitation exercises and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients with complex needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Kinetic Physical Therapy Clinic, you will engage primarily with adults recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your services will directly contribute to enhancing their quality of life, mobility, and physical function, proactively supporting patients through their rehabilitation processes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design tailored to individual patient needs.
• Experience in utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT.
• Strong communication skills for effective patient education and collaborative care efforts.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating not only clinical proficiency but also a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Previous experience in home care settings is advantageous, as it enhances understanding of patient environments and individual challenges.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
