Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting initial assessments and documenting client cases comprehensively from the first consultation to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluating clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using standardized methods and tools to identify their specific needs.

• Developing and implementing tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups that focus on their unique circumstances.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities that resonate with clients.

• Monitoring client progress throughout the implementation of their treatment plans, adjusting strategies as necessary based on feedback and observed outcomes.

• Engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care effectively.

• Following up on care for clients who may be hospitalized, ensuring continuity and quality of care through communication with relevant healthcare personnel.

• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and proactively addressing behaviors that may hinder client progress.

• Supporting family members and primary caregivers with tools and strategies to help manage the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• Successful completion of the NCE, NCMHCE, or equivalent testing.
\n
• Proficient use of electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to maintain accurate client records.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health and addiction disorders, along with underlying physical health conditions.
\n
• Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, showcasing excellent interpersonal skills.

• Strong empathy and a supportive attitude towards clients and their families, ensuring a nurturing therapeutic atmosphere.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience counseling in a telehealth setting is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Knowledge and in-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their implications for therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
