This contract position is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a strong background in pediatric care and tracheostomy management, eager to work one-on-one with a middle school student who requires attentive support throughout the school day.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Minnesota LPN license in good standing
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience caring for pediatric patients or students
• Demonstrated proficiency in tracheostomy care, including suctioning
• Ability and willingness to accompany the student on the school bus during transportation
• Compassion, reliability, and skill in supporting students with complex medical or developmental needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to a 7th grade student, ensuring health and safety at all times during the school day
• Monitor and manage tracheostomy care and provide suctioning as outlined in the student’s healthcare plan
• Accurately document all nursing tasks, health observations, and interventions daily
• Participate in the student’s transportation by riding the school bus to and from home, as required
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the Health Services team, teachers, and the student’s family
• Adhere strictly to the student’s individualized healthcare plan, contributing to a supportive and inclusive educational setting

This position follows the assigned school calendar, offering a consistent weekday schedule (37.5 hours per week).
