You will primarily operate in an outpatient setting, involving regular collaboration with law enforcement during community mental health responses. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations in collaboration with police officers to assess the need for involuntary detention under 5150/5585 applications, focusing on patient safety and well-being.

• Provide training and guidance to law enforcement teams, equipping them with skills to address mental health crises and effectively de-escalate potential confrontations.

• Deliver short-term crisis counseling to individuals experiencing non-violent mental health episodes, ensuring immediate support while maintaining a non-judgmental environment.

• Maintain accurate and detailed records of confidential patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with law enforcement, clinical staff, hospitals, and psychiatrists to ensure a seamless transition of care for clients.

• Accompany law enforcement units during mental health responses to provide expert support and intervention when necessary.

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population that includes both individuals recently involved in the criminal justice system and community members facing mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A valid and active Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license is required.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is mandatory, with a preference for advanced degrees in cranial care.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 52,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
