Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and develop individualized action plans for clients, particularly arrestees, to de-escalate crisis situations.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of client interactions and treatment plans, adhering to all ethical guidelines and regulations.
\n
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies and hospital staff to perform psychiatric evaluations in the community, assessing the need for 5150/5585 applications for involuntary detention when necessary.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis counseling for non-violent individuals experiencing mental health episodes, helping them manage acute situations effectively.
\n
• Support law enforcement during mental health responses, leveraging your skills to address complex situations compassionately and effectively.
\n
• Train police staff in best practices for handling mental health crises to enhance community relations and reduce the usage of force during interventions.
\n
• Coordinate case management efforts with external parties, including the Department of Mental Health and various psychiatric facilities, ensuring follow-up and ongoing support for patients.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a valid Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license in California.

• A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this full-time position ranges from $52,000 to $70,000 annually, dependent on qualifications and experience.
