Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office located in the vibrant city of San Jose, California. As part of a close-knit team, you will work in a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern therapeutic tools and technologies designed to ensure effective treatment. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent work schedule with weekends off.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' physical conditions, identifying the objectives and requirements unique to each individual.
• Manage a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused, individualized attention to facilitate optimal recovery.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate a variety of manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Deliver cost-effective treatment solutions that enhance patients' range of motion and functional mobility, while also minimizing reliance on medications.
• Motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process by encouraging engagement and perseverance in their therapeutic activities.
• Design customized fitness and wellness programs suited to the specific needs and goals of each patient.
• Create a supportive environment by collaborating with doctors, insurance providers, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care strategies.
• Document all services and treatments provided to patients accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulations.
• Regularly assess and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Educate patients on injury prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and the importance of physical activity in maintaining wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. This diverse clientele will range from active individuals seeking to regain peak performance to older adults aiming to enhance mobility and functionality. Each treatment session will emphasize individual needs, allowing you to make a tangible difference in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California, with no record of disciplinary action.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and the application of therapeutic exercise programs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, such as WebPT, to document patient interactions and treatment plans effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to foster rapport with patients and collaborate across interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to develop creative and effective therapeutic exercises tailored to diverse patient populations.
• Experience collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and treatment outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
