Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing therapists the flexibility to work from home or a location of their choice. However, on-site support at our community health clinic in Salem may also be required for client consultations and supervision meetings. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized therapy sessions either in the client’s home or through telehealth at our outpatient clinic, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for effective therapy.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques for anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, with an emphasis on mitigating high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious actions or aggression.
\n
• Focus on enhancing decision-making skills among adolescents and their caregivers, equipping them with the tools necessary to manage behavioral challenges in home settings.
\n
• Work collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals committed to holistic support for adolescents and families.
\n
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes using our practice management system.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to provide feedback and recommendations on program effectiveness and client progress.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental and intellectual disabilities. These clients often require tailored support to navigate their unique challenges, and your role will be instrumental in fostering their growth and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.
\n
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential for this role.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with some flexibility on weekends.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes or community meetings.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience providing positive behavior support to children and adolescents, particularly those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

• Experience working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, particularly bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese to enhance communication and connection.

• A strong track record of successful therapeutic interventions and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Compensation and Benefits\n
