Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing counselors to provide services from the comfort of their own home while also having the option to work in a supportive outpatient office environment when needed. We emphasize a flexible work schedule designed to promote a healthy work-life balance, with full-time counselors working Monday through Friday in 8-hour shifts. Part-time counselors may set their schedules around team needs, including potential hours from Monday to Saturday, but without weekend commitments. Our innovative hybrid model includes both telemedicine and in-person therapy options.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to the specific needs of clients, assisting them in reaching their personal goals.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to inform treatment strategies and monitor client progress.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families, ensuring the highest standard of care.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused short therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and enhance treatment outcomes for clients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending workshops and training to stay current with advancements in mental healthcare research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing a range of mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Counselors will have the opportunity to work with clients from various backgrounds, contributing to a culturally competent and inclusive therapeutic experience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Must hold an active and unrestricted LPC license in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of counseling experience is required, preferably in a clinical setting.
• A strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in mental health practice is essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively connect with clients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse, or trauma is highly preferred and will be considered an asset for this role.
• Experience utilizing teletherapy tools and practices to provide safe and effective remote therapy.
