Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is conducted onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Keyport, NJ. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Symbria, you will:

• Direct treatment planning and physical therapy interventions aimed at preventing disability and enhancing mobility for patients post-injury or surgery.
• Oversee the implementation of care plans by Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring efficacy and safety in executing prescribed interventions.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using a variety of diagnostic tools to assess muscle, nerve, and joint functions.
• Analyze home environments for rehabilitation adaptability and recommend modifications for facilitating greater independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services personalized to each patient's needs as per physician orders, guiding them through therapeutic exercises, traction, and other treatment modalities.
• Document clinical findings systematically, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries adhering to OASIS standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize client care.
• Educate clients and their families on the use of therapeutic devices and overall physical therapy processes, fostering an understanding that empowers their rehabilitation journey.
• Stay accessible to Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to care protocols and addressing any questions or concerns during patient treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will serve at Symbria span a range of demographics, including individuals recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic conditions that impact mobility. Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) with a valid state license to practice.
• A commitment to maintaining high clinical standards, with strong ethical principles and a patient-first mindset.
• Proficiency in evaluating and treating diverse patient populations with varying rehabilitation needs.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver's license, along with active automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years' experience in physical therapy is required, applicants with backgrounds in acute care or home care settings will find their skills particularly valuable. Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
