Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations of patient conditions, in accordance with physician directives.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments to evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities, using standardized functional assessments and tools.
• Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants, ensuring the accurate and effective execution of prescribed treatment and rehabilitation strategies.
• Implement therapeutic exercises, manual therapies, and modalities including traction and massage to relieve pain and enhance mobility.
• Instruct patients and families on rehabilitation techniques and the use of assistive devices, ensuring they are equipped to follow through with treatment plans effectively.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing insights and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Assess home environments for safety and make recommendations for modifications to support patients' independence.
• Stay current with best practices in physical therapy and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Doctorate degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
