Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to develop individualized therapy strategies that meet the specific needs of each client.
• Deliver a range of evidence-based interventions, including group therapy and one-on-one counseling sessions focused on improving mental health outcomes.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy to address various mental health concerns.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to create a cohesive care plan that addresses the holistic needs of clients.
• Maintain accurate and lawful clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards in counseling practices.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops, training, and research initiatives, to stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals and family units from various backgrounds, many of whom may have limited access to mental health resources. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will work with clients facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role is vital in breaking down barriers to access and providing compassionate care to those who need it most.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• An active and unrestricted license to practice as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, ideally in a clinical environment.
• Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of legal requirements and ethical guidelines governing counseling practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain rapport with clients of diverse backgrounds.
