Work Environment

The position is based onsite at our advanced rehabilitation center, where you will work alongside a tight-knit team of two physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA). Our clinic operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. At Baker's Field Therapy Services, we maintain a patient-to-therapist ratio that allows for individualized attention, ensuring you can dedicate one-on-one time to each patient during their treatment sessions.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and establish treatment goals by thoroughly assessing movement patterns and limitations.
• Develop and implement tailored care plans that utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Administer cost-effective interventions aimed at enhancing mobility and preventing surgical interventions whenever possible.
• Maintain a manageable patient load, averaging one patient per hour, to provide focused and effective care.
• Monitor and document patient progress, adapting care plans as needed to maximize recovery outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, motivating them to adhere to their rehabilitation programs and promote their active participation in recovery.
• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and a multidisciplinary approach.
• Promote healthy lifestyles by designing and customizing fitness and wellness programs aligned with each patient's specific needs and abilities.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with industry best practices to ensure high-quality care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on orthopedic outpatient care, catering to a diverse patient population primarily covered by private medical insurance. Patients range from athletes recovering from injuries to individuals seeking rehabilitation from surgeries and chronic pain conditions. Your role will involve creating and implementing specialized programs that address a broad spectrum of therapeutic needs, enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, and overall functional skills.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and active Physical Therapist license in California, with no recorded board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and the ability to assess and design effective exercise programs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, to maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings, with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of current treatment methodologies and rehabilitation protocols.
• Adeptness in integrating evidence-based practices into patient care plans.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
