Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our rehabilitation center in Irvine, California, where we pride ourselves on maintaining a welcoming and energetic environment. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Within our facility, you will be part of a close-knit team consisting of two additional physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant, all dedicated to providing exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their health needs, capabilities, and treatment goals.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that apply evidence-based practices and a variety of therapeutic techniques.
• Manage an efficient patient load, providing one-on-one care to patients while consistently maintaining a high standard of treatment.
• Utilize advanced modalities and techniques to promote healing and enhance mobility, reducing the reliance on medications and surgeries.
• Provide education and advice to patients on exercises and lifestyle modifications that promote long-term health and well-being.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare providers, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, documenting treatments and outcomes accurately within our electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their rehabilitation process, reinforcing their commitment to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In our orthopedic outpatient practice, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Our patient population consists largely of individuals with private medical insurance, seeking specialized care to improve their functional capabilities. Your role will be pivotal in understanding their unique challenges and supporting them through tailored therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications

• Required: Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board actions against your license.
• Strong competency in manual therapy techniques and developing individualized exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, particularly EMR platforms such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of three years of experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is strongly preferred.
• Previous engagement with a diverse patient demographic, adapting treatments based on individual cultural and personal needs.
• Experience in creating and implementing wellness programs that focus on holistic health and fitness.

Compensation and Benefits

The competitive salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
