Maridan South Spine and Sports Medicine is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Santa Ana, California. As a pivotal member of our practice, you will provide essential services to our patients, helping them regain mobility and optimize their overall functional abilities. This full-time role is vital for patients undergoing rehabilitation after orthopedic injuries or surgeries.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our well-equipped outpatient office, where collaboration and teamwork are key to delivering exceptional patient care. The clinic features modern therapy equipment, private treatment rooms, and a welcoming environment. You will work a standard schedule of Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. As part of a close-knit team of two seasoned physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will foster a supportive atmosphere focused on patient outcomes and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions through comprehensive examinations and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs and goals.
• Conduct treatments effectively while managing a patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring a focused and individualized approach to each case.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based treatments and manual therapy techniques, maintaining a strong focus on promoting physical rehabilitation, pain relief, and functional enhancement.
• Educate patients and their families on proper exercise techniques, lifestyle changes, and wellness strategies to foster better health outcomes.
• Document patient progress meticulously, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software platforms like WebPT for seamless care coordination and compliance.
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on treatment methodologies with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of treatment plans and adjust therapies as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to patient needs.
• Empower patients by motivating them throughout their rehabilitation journey, reinforcing a commitment to improving their mobility and quality of life.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation after injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions affecting their mobility. Our diverse patient population ranges from athletes recovering from sports injuries to adults managing the challenges of age-related ailments. We emphasize preventative care and rehabilitation, seeking to minimize reliance on medications and surgical interventions.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and a clean record without any board actions or disciplinary measures.
• State licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in California.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and a strong foundation in developing customized exercise regimens.
• Competence in using EMR software, specifically WebPT or similar systems, to document treatment plans and patient progress efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable.
• Strong background in rehabilitative care, ideally with a focus on enhancing patient mobility and functionality.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
