Work Environment

This full-time position entails an onsite role within a collaborative rehabilitation center, where you will add to a dynamic team of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The facility's modern design and equipment promote efficient and effective therapeutic interventions. You will typically see one patient per hour, allowing for focused, individualized care, which enhances patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients' physical abilities and limitations to formulate personalized treatment plans that address specific needs.
• Implement a range of therapeutic techniques to enhance mobility and reduce pain while minimizing reliance on medications and proposing non-surgical alternatives.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and design exercise programs tailored to individual patients, allowing for active participation in their own recovery.
• Foster an encouraging environment by motivating patients throughout their treatment, helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Document patient progress accurately and concisely in electronic medical records (EMR) using software such as WebPT.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and discuss treatment strategies for optimal outcomes.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting therapy plans as necessary based on patient feedback and progress.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest evidence-based practices in physical therapy, ensuring the highest level of care is provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary patient demographic includes individuals with private medical insurance who are seeking specialized orthopedic care for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions. This includes postoperative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Your role will be pivotal in guiding patients through their recovery process, providing them with tools to improve strength, flexibility, coordination, and overall physical health.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid California Physical Therapist license, with no recorded board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises.
• Experience with EMR Software, preferably WebPT, to manage patient records.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient settings is desirable.
• Familiarity with current orthopedic rehabilitation protocols and practices.
• Experience in community outreach and patient education initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits
