Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while serving patients across the community. Your work schedule will primarily be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to accommodate patient needs. Our practice utilizes a collaborative approach to care, connecting with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive support and treatment for individuals facing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial and ongoing culturally-sensitive mental health assessments to identify patients' unique needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring they are adapted to clients' cultural and personal backgrounds.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing various mental health concerns and enhancing patients' resilience and coping skills.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to create coordinated, holistic care approaches for patients requiring additional support.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, demonstrating strong crisis management skills.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring seamless coordination during interdisciplinary case conferences and team meetings.

• Engage in ongoing professional development, including attending cultural competency training and staying informed about current research and best practices in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The diverse client base you will be serving includes individuals from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant populations, all of whom often face unique and systemic barriers to mental health care. Your role will be vital in delivering inclusive support, understanding and appreciating the varied experiences of patients to ensure they receive the most effective and respectful care possible.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW within the state of Georgia.
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy through culturally responsive and empathetic methods.
\n
• Strong crisis intervention abilities with a composed and stable demeanor in challenging situations.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse clientele.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes.

• A strict commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical guidelines, and safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mental health counseling role, preferably within a community health or outpatient setting.

• Familiarity with telehealth practices and remote therapeutic interventions to enhance access for clients.

Compensation and Benefits\n
