In this full-time remote position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals, couples, families, and groups struggling with mental health challenges through professional evaluations, tailored treatment plans, and effective therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience in delivering mental health services via our telehealth platform. As a mental health counselor at Forest View, you will utilize modern technology to conduct evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress assessments while maintaining compassionate, individualized client engagement.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and interviews to determine client needs and document case histories from consultation through to treatment completion.
\n
• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health using appropriate diagnostic tools and evidence-based practices.
\n
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans for various client groups, including individuals, couples, and families, tailoring your approach based on their unique circumstances.
\n
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions and group therapy interventions, employing therapeutic techniques and methods suited to clients' goals, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy or mindfulness practices.
\n
• Regularly monitor client progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary and ensuring all interventions are meeting clinical and ethical standards.
\n
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic treatment approaches that address both mental and physical health issues.
\n
• Follow up with clients post-hospitalization, coordinating care with psychiatrists and involved medical professionals to support smooth transitions back into outpatient therapy.
\n
• Provide guidance and support to family members and caregivers on managing mental health challenges, creating a network of support for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be serving a diverse population, including adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a wide range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Your work will have a significant impact on the quality of life of these individuals, fostering resilience and recovery through empathetic counseling and support.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R (LCSW-R) in the state of New York.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a sensitive and empathetic approach to client care.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills capable of articulating complex concepts clearly to both clients and team members.

Preferred Experience\n

\n
• Previous experience in a mental health counseling role, ideally within a telehealth setting, with proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as AVATAR.
\n
• Demonstrated experience addressing co-occurring disorders and knowledge of the implications of prescribed medications on mental health.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) as well as contemporary therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, complemented by a sign-on bonus upon successful hiring into the role.
