This position allows for flexibility as it is structured for remote work, enabling you to deliver care via telehealth. Your work hours will typically be Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the possibility of occasional evening shifts depending on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the challenges faced by older adults, including evaluating cognitive, emotional, and social factors affecting their well-being.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that recognize the distinct cognitive and physical health changes experienced by geriatric patients.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy sessions, to effectively address various geriatric psychiatric conditions.

• Work closely with a team of geriatric psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to patient care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies affecting elderly patients, ensuring safety and stabilization.

• Educate both patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment modalities, and community resources to facilitate understanding and involvement in their care.

• Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical practices, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with older adults.
\n
• Strong knowledge and understanding of geriatric mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to empathize and engage effectively with elderly patients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications for efficient documentation and communication.

• Capability to function collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing positively to patient care initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between USD 75,000 and 100,000 annually, reflecting our commitment to rewarding skilled professionals.
