The Family Health Behavioral Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our team in Santa Clara, California. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to work remotely while engaging with children and adolescents in need of mental health support through our outpatient office. Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong connection with our outpatient office in Santa Clara. Although your main working hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, occasional evening shifts may be required based on the specific needs of our patients.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of children and adolescents, using diagnostic tools and structured interviews.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address the diverse needs of patients, taking into consideration their developmental stages and family contexts.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to tackle prevalent mental health issues like anxiety, depression, and ADHD.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at strengthening family relationships and promoting a nurturing home environment.

• Work collaboratively with child psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention support when needed, prioritizing the safety and well-being of children and adolescents during mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources for ongoing support.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to discuss patient progress and treatment modifications as necessary.

• Stay updated with the latest research, methodologies, and practices in child and adolescent mental health to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position primarily focuses on children and adolescents struggling with a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and behavioral challenges. Your work will directly impact the lives of young individuals and their families, providing them with a safe space to explore their feelings and develop coping strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Psychologist in California.

• A strong clinical understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and treatment methodologies.
\n
• Experience and proficiency in delivering therapeutic services to children and their families.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating compassion and a child-centered approach.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience is preferred.
