Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while engaging with our outpatient office team in San Jose. The regular work schedule is Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the psychosocial needs of children and adolescents, identifying strengths and areas for growth.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider the developmental stages and family dynamics of each patient.
\n
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique challenges faced by young individuals, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and family therapy.

• Deliver supportive family therapy sessions aimed at enhancing the home environment and promoting positive parent-child interactions.
\n
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care tailored to each patient's needs.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and on-call support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health concerns, available treatment options, and relevant community resources, empowering them on their journey to recovery.

• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
\n
• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment approaches and stay informed about emerging research and best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents who are experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral disorders, and more. You will play a pivotal role in guiding the mental health treatment efforts of individuals often at crucial developmental stages.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
\n
• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, particularly with children and adolescents.
\n
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic criteria and treatment methodologies related to child and adolescent mental health disorders.
\n
• Proficiency in delivering individual and family therapy and implementing a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children and adolescents in a child-centered, empathetic manner.
\n
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other necessary computer applications.
\n
• Capacity to work effectively within a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is between USD 75,000 and 100,000 annually commensurate with experience and qualifications.
