Work Environment\n

The successful candidate will work remotely in a telehealth setting, utilizing digital platforms to connect with clients and deliver therapy sessions. This flexibility allows for a balanced work-life environment while ensuring access to care for families across various locations. Standard work hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts required to meet patient demand.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to determine their specific needs and establish treatment goals.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that align with developmental milestones and incorporate family dynamics into the therapeutic process.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address mental health challenges, providing interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, or family therapy as appropriate.

• Collaborate effectively with child psychiatrists and a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring cohesive care and support for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, equipping families with strategies and resources for immediate support.

• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to encourage proactive engagement in their care.

• Maintain precise, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation.

• Engage in continuous professional development through team meetings, case consultations, and training activities, staying abreast of best practices in child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position emphasizes working with children and adolescents experiencing a range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. In collaboration with the child psychiatry team, you will focus on providing holistic, compassionate care that not only addresses symptoms but also fosters the overall emotional resilience of your clients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure in California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health illnesses, along with proven therapeutic techniques that effectively address these concerns.

• Experience providing individual and family therapy to younger clients, demonstrating a strong understanding of developmental challenges.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a particular ability to engage with children and adolescents in a meaningful and supportive manner.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and relevant software applications for case documentation and management.

• Capability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, contributing to a unified approach to patient care.

• A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, reflecting experience and qualifications, along with additional bonuses based on performance.
