Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate students' psychological needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.

• Deliver individual and group therapy, employing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy to address various mental health challenges.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups for students to enhance understanding of mental health, build coping strategies, and create a support network among peers.
\n
• Collaborate with school staff, including teachers and counselors, as well as external specialists, to create comprehensive care strategies for students.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention services to students experiencing acute mental health challenges and ensure their safety and well-being during emergencies.
\n
• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and available community resources to empower them in the recovery process.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in accordance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
\n
• Engage in regular case consultations and participate in ongoing training to stay updated with best practices and advancements in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on working with children and adolescents in a school environment. The therapist will provide culturally sensitive care that respects the diverse backgrounds and experiences of each student. Our goal is to create a nurturing space where students feel safe to express their emotions and challenges, leading to improved academic performance and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Massachusetts.

• In-depth knowledge of various mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

• Strong skills in conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment interventions.
\n
• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions to youth.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and their families effectively.
\n
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries while demonstrating empathy and support.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic technology applications.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health capacity, preferably within an educational or school-based setting.

• Background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
