Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your essential duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting intake and diagnostic assessments to determine clients’ needs, including crisis intervention and treatment planning.

• Developing and implementing personalized treatment strategies based on thorough evaluations of each client’s unique challenges.
\n
• Maintaining detailed and accurate records of client interactions in compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.

• Participating in after-hours on-call services and weekend shifts as necessary to provide consistent care.
\n
• Offering face-to-face and telehealth sessions to effectively engage with clients, fostering a therapeutic alliance.

• Collaborating with families and other service providers to monitor treatment progress and facilitate comprehensive care.

• Providing crisis intervention and stabilization to clients experiencing acute mental health issues.

• Staying current with best practices by attending training, seminars, and clinical meetings on an annual basis.

• Supervising and mentoring junior therapists and interns, ensuring adherence to therapeutic and ethical standards.

You will address the needs of a varied population, including individuals dealing with mental health disorders, substance abuse issues, and those with intellectual disabilities. Our clients come from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, providing a rich environment for therapeutic work. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in a human services-related field, with a valid license (LPC, LICSW, LMFT) in the District of Columbia.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
