Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Crystal Lake Families & Kids Services, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with primary care providers to recognize, assess, and manage mental health and psychosocial issues that impact patient care.

• Conducting initial patient intakes focusing on detailed diagnostic and functional evaluations, followed by providing well-informed recommendations for treatment plans.
\n
• Delivering time-sensitive interventions for patients requiring mental health support and guidance.
\n
• Utilizing your expertise to advise primary care providers on treatment plans and referring patients to specialty mental health care when necessary.
\n
• Regularly following up with patients to evaluate their progress and adapt treatment approaches as necessary.
\n
• Assisting in developing relapse prevention strategies to support patients in achieving stable functioning.
\n
• Monitoring at-risk patients and assisting in devising plans that prevent deterioration of their mental health.
\n
• Ensuring seamless coordination of health services related to behavioral health care and working with external treatment providers with patient consent when appropriate.
\n
• Maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of patient progress and diagnostic information in treatment charts.
\n
• Communicating effectively with primary care providers about patient needs, contributing to the formulation and adjustment of treatment plans.
\n
• Empowering patients through education and self-management strategies, equipping them to actively participate in their recovery.
\n
• Providing training and consultation to clinic management and team members regarding behavioral health services and program evaluations.
\n
• Assisting patients in adhering to medical treatments as prescribed by their primary care providers, including offering coping strategies for medication side effects.

• Upholding the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals and carrying out other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications\n

We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.

• Current and valid Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) status in Maryland.

• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in mental health assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, family therapy systems, and psychodiagnostics.

• Strong understanding of the psychosocial implications of mental health conditions on individuals and their families.

• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team setting, establishing effective professional relationships with staff, patients, and community partners.

• Competent in maintaining clinical records and preparing comprehensive reports.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 87,000 to USD 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
