Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients as per physician referrals, utilizing analytical skills to identify movement dysfunctions and prescribe appropriate treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy programs, including specific exercises, modalities, and functional training strategies tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide quality care in a variety of settings, ensuring adherence to current treatment protocols and standards set by the clinic, while maximizing patient outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, educating them on their conditions and treatment options to enhance understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and refine care strategies, ensuring an integrated approach to rehabilitation.
• Meet utilization goals and other organizational objectives, maintaining optimum productivity while delivering high-quality care.
• Document patient progress in our electronic health records system, ensuring accurate and timely reporting on treatment efficacy and patient conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Citizens Physiocare, you will encounter a diverse patient demographic, focusing primarily on orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases. This role offers exposure to a broad spectrum of musculoskeletal disorders and rehabilitation needs, allowing you to apply specialized treatment techniques and contribute to meaningful recovery experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy, with the ability to practice in the state of Florida.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey patient education as well as clinical findings.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and electronic medical records management.
• Ability to build rapport and establish strong therapeutic relationships with patients to aid their recovery process.
• A genuine interest in connecting positively with patients and contributing to community health initiatives.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a rehabilitation setting, specifically working with orthopedic and sports medicine patients.
• Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic equipment and treatment methodologies relevant to physical therapy.
• Experience with performing functional assessments and developing comprehensive treatment plans.
