Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to understand patients' trauma history and determine the most effective treatment modalities.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, emotional regulation, and fostering resilience.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing patients with essential tools to process their experiences and develop coping strategies.

• Work in collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic care and support for patients’ mental health needs.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms to better navigate their recovery journey.
\n
• Keep detailed and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to share insights and strategies regarding effective trauma-informed care.

• Stay current on the latest advancements in trauma therapy through continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including but not limited to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will be working with a diverse client base, providing culturally sensitive and tailored interventions to address their unique experiences and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply trauma-informed treatment practices.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that help foster trust and rapport with patients.

• A calm, composed demeanor in high-stress situations, ensuring effective de-escalation and support for patients in crisis.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in delivering mental health services, specifically trauma-focused interventions.

• Experience in group therapy settings, showcasing your ability to engage and support multiple clients simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits\n
