This full-time role is based remotely, providing essential mental health services to students with diverse special needs, including those affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, attention- deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and trauma-related issues.

Work Environment\n

This role operates in a remote work setting, allowing flexibility while maintaining a dedicated focus on the educational sector. You will communicate regularly with a range of professionals, including educators, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, utilizing digital platforms and electronic health records (EHR) systems to provide effective care. The work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts or weekend coverage as necessary. On-call availability may also be required.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs of students with special needs, ensuring an individualized approach.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address mental health challenges, promote emotional well-being, and facilitate successful integration into the school environment.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions catering to specific conditions, including individual and group therapy sessions that focus on emotional regulation and coping strategies.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and educators to provide comprehensive care and ensure that each student's needs are met effectively.

• Execute crisis intervention strategies during mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stability for students.

• Educate students and their families on mental health issues, establishing a supportive network and connecting them with available resources.

• Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress while adhering to all legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and professional development activities to stay current with industry best practices.

Qualifications\n

• A master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Kansas is necessary for this role.

• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and formulating treatment plans based on those assessments.

• Experience in leveraging various evidence-based therapeutic approaches and modalities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• Competence in crisis intervention techniques and the ability to perform under pressure.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and a solid proficiency in using technology for patient documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience working as a licensed clinical social worker is preferred, particularly within an educational setting.

• Experience working with children and adolescents facing developmental and emotional challenges is highly beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
