Work Environment\n

This position offers a unique remote work setting with opportunities to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals. Our work hours are primarily Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs. We utilize secure electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient patient management and documentation, allowing therapists to focus more on direct patient care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify suitable treatment approaches tailored to their needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental health improvement.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate healing.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping strategies, and foster emotional healing.
\n
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure integrated care and support for patients.
\n
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, available coping mechanisms, and community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development activities focused on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on the most recent research and best practices in trauma therapy to deliver the highest standard of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily be working with clients who have experienced various forms of trauma, many of whom may present with complex needs due to their life experiences. Your work will play a significant role in their recovery process, enabling them to rebuild their lives and find hope amidst their challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Texas.

• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills paired with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
\n
• The ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing therapeutic interventions post-licensure, particularly in trauma-focused therapies.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and proficiency in computer applications relevant to mental health practice.

• Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
