Key Responsibilities\n

In your role as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, you will:

• Maintain a client caseload by developing rapport with clients, ensuring adherence to professional ethics, and establishing healthy boundaries.

• Conduct regular sessions to assess progress, discuss treatment goals, and appropriately consider discharge plans.
\n
• Design, implement, and continuously evaluate person-centered treatment plans in collaboration with clients, keeping their unique needs and circumstances at the forefront.

• Document session notes and relevant client information using electronic health record systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with all relevant regulations.

• Perform comprehensive intake assessments for new clients, gathering detailed personal, social, and mental health information.
\n
• Engage in individual supervision with clinical supervisors to enhance therapeutic techniques and address complex client issues.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and social workers, to create a comprehensive understanding of client needs and to coordinate care effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our Counseling Services primarily focus on youth, addressing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and substance use disorders. The clinician will engage with clients aged from childhood through young adulthood, harnessing effective therapeutic strategies that resonate well with this demographic. Your proactive engagement with both clients and their families is essential to facilitating lasting change and fostering resilience among those we serve.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.

• Qualifications to meet internal credentialing standards within our clinical framework.

• A minimum of one year of clinical experience, particularly working with youth or adolescents in psychiatric settings.

• Experience in both individual and group therapy, with a solid foundation in assessment and diagnosis practices.

• Proficiency in utilizing computer systems and electronic health records, along with basic keyboarding skills.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with additional specialized training or certifications in crisis intervention, trauma-informed practices, or family systems therapy will be highly regarded. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
