Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews, meticulously documenting each client’s journey from the first consultation to the final treatment stage.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health during online sessions, using evidence-based practices to inform your assessments.

• Develop individualized, couple, family, or group intervention and recovery plans that reflect the unique circumstances and goals of each client.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster trust, openness, and therapeutic growth among participants.

• Monitor and assess client progress throughout their treatment, adapting plans as necessary to ensure goals are being met effectively.

• Collaborate with other specialists, ensuring a cohesive and coordinated approach to treatment when developing intervention strategies.

• Maintain ongoing communication with psychiatrists and medical professionals regarding clients who may require hospitalization or additional support.

• Identify and address potential barriers to recovery, assisting clients and their families in navigating mental health challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Pass the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous professional experience as a mental health counselor, demonstrating your ability to provide effective and compassionate care.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, including experience using tools such as AVATAR to document and manage client information.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with patients facing addiction disorders, as well as those with co-occurring mental health and physical health conditions.

• Familiarity with the best practices in mental health counseling as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Deep understanding of psychotropic medications, their effects, and the implications for treatment in collaboration with prescribing psychiatrists.

• Previous involvement in therapies that incorporate evidence-based treatment methods.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication competencies, with the ability to document cases clearly and concisely.

• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate approach that builds rapport with clients.
