As a Mental Health Counselor, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individualized counseling sessions via secure video chat, fostering an environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their mental health concerns.
• Encouraging clients to explore their emotions and experiences, which aids them in gaining insight into their behaviors and relational dynamics.
• Advocating for clients' needs, assisting them in establishing concrete goals, and guiding them toward achieving these objectives.
• Assessing clients’ mental health conditions and collaboratively developing treatment plans rooted in a solution-focused approach, utilizing your clinical knowledge and expertise.

You will work primarily with stabilized clients who have been rigorously prescreened to ensure they present with low acuity concerns. To ensure that you succeed in this role, we require that you possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• An independent license from the state board—qualified candidates will hold either a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Limited or provisional licenses will not be accepted.
• The ability to make informed, professional evaluations concerning mental health treatment planning and implementation.
• Strong interpersonal skills paired with a sympathetic and understanding demeanor, making you approachable and relatable to clients.
• A proficient level of computer literacy to navigate telehealth platforms and ensure smooth sessions.

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in telehealth counseling and familiarity with a variety of therapeutic modalities will find a significant advantage in our collaborative environment.
