Caring Companions Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) to join our compassionate team. This full-time position offers the unique opportunity to provide specialized mental health support remotely, focusing on trauma recovery. Located in Galveston, Texas, we specialize in treatment for trauma survivors, particularly in dealing with conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. This position allows for remote work, making it ideal for professionals who value flexibility and work-life balance. Despite the remote setting, you will retain access to a collaborative outpatient office community. • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, identify their unique needs, and formulate detailed treatment plans.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment strategies aimed at fostering trauma recovery, including building resilience and coping mechanisms.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) within clinical sessions.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to process traumatic experiences and work on developmentally appropriate coping strategies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and mental health professionals to orchestrate integrated care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
• Address crisis situations by providing immediate intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families, offering insights into trauma responses and connecting them with valuable community resources.
• Maintain precise and confidential clinical documentation compliant with legal and ethical standards, ensuring all patient interactions are properly recorded.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development events to enhance your skills in trauma-informed care.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy, continuously integrating new knowledge into practice.

You will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including but not limited to those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, each presenting unique challenges and strengths. Your role in their recovery journey is critical, as you will help them rebuild their lives and develop resilience amidst their struggles.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in Texas.
• Knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach when engaging with clients.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage client documentation efficiently.

While a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, we value a demonstrated commitment to trauma-focused therapeutic practices. Prior experience in delivering trauma-informed care, especially through individual and group settings, will enhance your ability to contribute meaningfully to our patients' recovery.

The position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
