Position Overview

Flexibility First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a skilled and dedicated full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team. This pivotal role involves guiding patients on their journey to recovery, focusing on restoring mobility, enhancing physical function, and improving overall quality of life. As a Physical Therapist, you will play an essential role in diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating patients, utilizing evidence-based techniques to help them achieve optimal outcomes.

Located in the beautiful Bonita Springs, Florida, Flexibility First Physical Therapy is a state-of-the-art rehabilitation center that specializes in providing high-quality care to patients with private medical insurance. Our facility boasts 5000 square feet of dedicated space designed for sports medicine and rehabilitation, featuring advanced equipment and therapy tools. Our small, collaborative team includes two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant, all committed to delivering exceptional therapeutic experiences and fostering a supportive environment for our patients.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our modern rehabilitation center, which promotes a culture of teamwork and compassion. Our regular working hours are from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a structured schedule to ensure focus on patient care. Our facility is designed to provide a healing atmosphere, equipped with the resources necessary to support effective treatment strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine the objectives and needs of each individual patient, creating personalized treatment plans tailored to their specific conditions and goals.
• Manage a patient load of approximately one patient per hour, allowing for deep and focused care with each session.
• Administer a range of evidence-based therapies to enhance patients' mobility and functionality, minimizing reliance on medications and exploring non-surgical treatment options.
• Incorporate diverse therapeutic techniques during treatment, including manual therapy and exercise prescription, to effectively address each patient's needs.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes accurately within our electronic medical records (EMR) system, such as WebPT.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping them to set realistic goals and develop a positive mindset towards recovery.
• Engage in regular collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be working with patients who have orthopedic needs, including those recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions affecting their movement and physical function. You will be instrumental in helping these individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life through targeted rehabilitation strategies that prioritize long-term wellness.

Qualifications

• Education: Candidates must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) and hold a valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Experience: A clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions is essential.
• Skills: Proficiency in manual therapy and exercise program design is required, as well as experience with EMR software like WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working specifically in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly preferred, as it directly relates to the patient demographics we serve.
• Experience with rehabilitation for sports-related injuries or conditions is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
