Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients with orthopedic conditions to determine their functional limitations and disability levels.
• Developing detailed treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices and adjust these plans as necessary based on patient progress.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions, educating patients and their families on both physical therapy techniques and home exercises to facilitate a seamless recovery process.
• Maintaining clear and thorough documentation of evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge planning in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with healthcare providers, including physicians and specialists, to ensure coordinated care throughout each patient's treatment journey.
• Participating in leadership functions, such as community outreach, program development, and quality improvement initiatives, to advance the department's goals.
• Supervising and supporting other therapists and support staff in day-to-day operations, ensuring they adhere to best practices and service standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily provide services to individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries or surgeries, including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. By delivering tailored treatments, you will enhance patients' physical capabilities and help them achieve their recovery goals.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard office software.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred candidates will have:

• Prior experience in an orthopedic-focused therapy setting.

Compensation and Benefits
