In this role, you will primarily provide essential mental health support for students and families in a school setting. Work Environment\n

This position is designed to be fully remote, allowing flexibility while ensuring effective support within a school environment. You will work with a client base primarily consisting of students and their families, navigating challenges that arise in educational contexts. While the standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, you may need to accommodate occasional evenings or weekends based on client needs, demonstrating commitment to ensuring that students receive timely and appropriate care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for students and their families, analyzing emotional, mental, and social factors influencing their well-being.

• Collaborate closely with clients, educators, and family members to create personalized care plans that align with their specific needs and objectives.

• Provide ongoing counseling and emotional support, guiding clients through transitional periods, social challenges, and other life events.
\n
• Advocate for student rights and champion their access to necessary community resources and educational support services.
\n
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers, school nurses, and educational administrators, to facilitate coordinated care and enhance student outcomes.

• Regularly engage with clients through virtual sessions, monitoring their progress, living conditions, and any emerging concerns.
\n
• Educate clients and their families on available resources, support networks, and programs in the community to promote overall well-being.
\n
• Document client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately, maintaining compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Stay current with best practices and trends in social work and school mental health initiatives to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be on adolescents and young adults, many of whom may be experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, bullying, family issues, or difficulty managing stressors related to their educational environment. Understanding the unique dynamics of this population is crucial, as you will be instrumental in helping them navigate their issues and improve their social and academic functioning.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential to practice in Oregon.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a social work capacity, preferably in educational or community settings.

• Solid understanding of social work practices, psychological principles, and community resources specific to school-based health services.

• Exceptional communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
