Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a holistic understanding of their unique experiences.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating their specific needs, goals, and preferences to foster a sense of ownership in their therapeutic journey.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective treatment for mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, develop self-care strategies, and provide ongoing support throughout the treatment process.

• Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress consistently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective intervention.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to deliver integrated and comprehensive care tailored to the client’s needs.

• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices within the field of mood disorders to enhance treatment methodologies and patient care.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans to adhere to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continued education to nurture professional growth and clinical skills.

• Advocate for clients to help de-stigmatize mood disorders and promote their mental health needs to the community.

You will primarily focus on individuals struggling with mood disorders, providing essential support and intervention. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and active license (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, or equivalent) to practice in New York State.
\n
• Strong expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with clients of varied backgrounds.

• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams.

• Commitment to ethical practices and compliance with health regulations in therapeutic contexts.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two years of post-licensure experience specializing in mood disorders is preferred, demonstrating a track record of successful patient outcomes.

• Experience working in a community health setting is highly desirable, reflecting an understanding of diverse client populations and their unique challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n
