Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough intake diagnostic assessments, including Gains, Locus, crisis planning, and treatment planning to determine appropriate care strategies.

• Providing ongoing therapy services to clients, both via face-to-face sessions and telehealth options, ensuring access to care for all individuals.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, facilitating effective communication and continuity of care.
\n
• Collaborating with medical personnel, family members, and other stakeholders to monitor clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
\n
• Engaging in crisis intervention and management strategies to support clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
\n
• Participating in team meetings and training sessions to further enhance your skills and meet agency requirements.
\n
• Providing mentorship and guidance to junior therapists and interns, fostering a supportive learning environment.

• Adhering to all state and federal privacy regulations, including HIPAA, while ensuring the confidentiality and dignity of our clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population, addressing a wide range of mental health concerns including but not limited to anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Each client is treated with respect and dignity, tailored to their unique backgrounds, lifestyles, and challenges. Your approach will emphasize building trust and empowering clients towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in a human services-related field.

• Current licensure in the District of Columbia as an LPC, LICSW, or LMFT.

• Experience managing stress and maintaining productivity in a remote work environment.

Preferred Experience\n

While not required, candidates with prior experience in crisis management, substance abuse counseling, or those who have worked with diverse populations will be given preference.
