Work Environment

Your work will be performed in our vibrant outpatient office located in Stockton, offering a dynamic setting that promotes teamwork and innovation in patient care. As part of a close-knit team comprising two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), you will collaborate to create a positive rehabilitation experience while ensuring high standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to establish patient needs and objectives in alignment with best practices for physical therapy.
• Effectively manage and treat a patient load of one patient per hour, providing personalized attention to each individual.
• Design and implement diverse and innovative care plans utilizing an array of treatment techniques, including but not limited to manual therapy and therapeutic exercise.
• Regularly evaluate treatment outcomes and patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
• Engage with patients in motivational conversations to enhance their functional abilities and encourage active participation in their recovery.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans meticulously in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, rehabilitation specialists, and support staff, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Advocate for patients by exploring cost-effective treatment solutions, aiming to reduce reliance on medications or unnecessary surgeries.
• Continue to promote wellness and prevention initiatives that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination in clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role primarily involves working with patients experiencing orthopedic issues. These may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain conditions, and mobility impairments. By tailoring treatment programs that address specific patient needs, you will play an integral role in helping them improve their overall functional independence.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required for this position.
• Current and valid certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in California is mandatory.
• A clean professional record with no disciplinary actions or board-related incidents.
• Essential Skills: Expertise in manual therapy techniques and the development of effective exercise regimens.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) software, specifically platforms like WebPT, to track patient progress and facilitate communication.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience specifically within an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, providing you with familiarity with common treatment plans and patient interactions.
• Strong communication skills to convey treatment goals effectively and inspire patient confidence in their rehabilitation journey.

Compensation and Benefits
