Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.

• Develop tailored treatment plans that align with the unique goals and needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate diverse therapeutic sessions, including individual and group therapies, through our telehealth platform, adapting techniques to suit the virtual environment.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously from the initiation of treatment through to conclusion, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.

• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare specialists, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate comprehensive care plans.

• Conduct follow-up evaluations and maintain communication with external healthcare providers to support clients who may require additional hospital care.

• Instruct and guide family members and caregivers on managing mental health challenges and fostering supportive home environments.

• Stay current with the latest developments and best practices in psychotherapy to enhance care and address emerging client needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse range of clients dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and substance use disorders. We serve individuals from different backgrounds and age groups, ensuring that our treatment plans are culturally sensitive and personalized to promote effective healing.

Qualifications\n

• A completed Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of Texas.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex mental health concepts in accessible terms.

• Strong clinical insight and interpersonal skills essential for fostering trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor or in a similar role is highly desired.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR or comparable platforms.

• An understanding of co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions and addiction disorders is advantageous.

• Knowledge of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices to ensure evidence-based care.

• In-depth understanding of medications prescribed by healthcare specialists and their potential effects on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position is competitive, ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
