Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' emotional and behavioral problems and develop individualized treatment plans accordingly.

• Provide crisis intervention services, ensuring immediate support for clients in distress.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical interactions, progress notes, and treatment changes in compliance with established department policies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to adapt treatment plans, including discharge plans, that reflect each patient’s unique psychosocial needs.

• Engage actively with community resource groups to represent Bedford Healthcare Center, fostering relationships that enhance our service offerings and support network for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, the Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse population seeking support for various issues, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and interpersonal conflicts. The counselor’s expertise will be crucial in helping clients navigate their challenges, using tailored therapeutic approaches that promote recovery and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

• Possession of an independent clinical license: LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health counseling role is required.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
