Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through preliminary interviews and accurately document client cases from the first consultation until treatment is concluded.

• Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional state of clients, utilizing standardized assessment tools and best practices.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans, addressing the needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups while considering diverse backgrounds.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, applying various therapeutic modalities to meet client needs.
\n
• Continuously monitor client progress throughout treatment, utilizing outcome measures to adapt plans as necessary.

• Work collaboratively with other mental health specialists, doctors, nurses, and social workers on integrated care approaches.

• Coordinate follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who have been hospitalized or require complex care.

• Recognize behaviors or situations that impede recovery, intervening promptly to assist clients in overcoming obstacles.

• Provide support and guidance to family members and caregivers as they navigate the challenges of mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base encompasses a wide range of individuals dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship issues. The ideal candidate will possess cultural competency and sensitivity, as you will work with clients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they feel understood and supported in their unique circumstances.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marital Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor, demonstrating clinical competency and client-centered care.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, preferably AVATAR, for effective documentation and client tracking.
\n
• Knowledgeable about physical and emotional health conditions, with a specialized understanding of addiction disorders.
\n
• In-depth awareness of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for client interaction and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Healthy Wave Counseling Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
