Spring Mountain Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team as a full-time Remote Trauma-Focused Mental Health Counselor. This position involves providing specialized mental health care remotely to individuals who have experienced trauma, contributing to their journey toward healing and recovery.

Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, utilizing telehealth practices to connect with patients across various locations. Our therapists enjoy the flexibility of a convenient work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some variation required to meet patient needs. This structure is designed to facilitate work-life balance while ensuring that our clients receive timely and effective support.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' psychological histories and the impact of trauma on their mental health.

• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and holistic well-being.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, offering patients effective tools for processing trauma, coping strategies, and pathways to healing.
\n
• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for patients.
\n
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, applying quick and sound clinical judgment.
\n
• Educate patients and their support systems about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available mental health resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, using advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Actively participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development focused specifically on trauma-informed care.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in trauma therapy, continuously expanding your knowledge and expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma, including childhood abuse, domestic violence, natural disasters, or significant life events. Your role will be to foster a therapeutic relationship that empowers clients to explore and heal from their experiences while building resilience and coping mechanisms for their future.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience providing mental health counseling, preferably with a focus on trauma.
\n
• Strong expertise in trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment methodologies.
\n
• Proven experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, exhibiting a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.

• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations.
\n
• Familiarity with various EHR systems and competent in leveraging technology for clinical practice.

• Strong capability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

Ideal candidates may possess additional certifications in trauma-focused therapies or significant experience in crisis intervention. Familiarity with therapeutic community practices and the latest integrative approaches in trauma recovery will be considered a strong asset.
