Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma backgrounds, identifying their unique treatment needs and objectives.

• Develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans aimed at trauma recovery and resilience, utilizing frameworks such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to assist patients in processing their trauma, cultivating coping strategies, and fostering emotional healing.

• Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to create cohesive treatment strategies that support patient well-being.

• Provide timely crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional security.

• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and community resources available to assist in recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily supports individuals impacted by trauma, including those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting with a focus on trauma-informed care.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and modalities, with a demonstrated ability to implement trauma-focused therapeutic interventions.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach towards patients.

• Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and various computer applications necessary for documentation and communication.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience delivering trauma-focused therapies, specifically EMDR and TF-CBT, will stand out. Familiarity with crisis intervention tactics and a background in working with a multidisciplinary team is also advantageous.
