Full-Time Clinical Social Worker for Remote Detox Center

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our dynamic team at Alvita Counseling Center. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments through structured interviews, detailed observations, and thorough reviews of medical records to evaluate how emotional and social factors affect patient recovery.
• Provide individual and family counseling, addressing adjustments to recovery, coping mechanisms, and emotional wellness strategies tailored to each patient’s circumstances.
• Collaborate with our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to create and implement individualized treatment plans that consider a patient’s psychosocial requirements.
• Guide patients in using available community resources, including support groups, vocational services, and housing assistance, to support their long-term recovery goals.
• Be an active participant in discharge planning, ensuring each patient transitions smoothly to their next care setting, whether that be at home or within other support mechanisms.
• Document all clinical interactions and maintain accurate records to facilitate effective communication and care coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals seeking detoxification and recovery from addiction, including those with co-occurring mental health disorders. Your skills will be pivotal in fostering a therapeutic understanding and addressing the multifaceted issues they face, providing them with the support necessary to embark on their paths toward recovery and reintegration into society.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a solid foundation in therapeutic practices and methodologies.
• Active and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide independent therapy.
• Proficiency in social work principles and a strong familiarity with therapeutic techniques applicable to rehabilitation settings.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working within rehabilitation or medical environments is highly preferred to ensure a smooth integration into our team and understanding of complex recovery processes.
• A solid understanding of adjustment issues, grief, loss, and coping methods relevant to patients facing substance use challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits
