Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Remote

Position Overview

Focused Mind Counseling is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. Work Environment

This position will be entirely remote, giving you the flexibility to work from home while being a part of a progressive and supportive team. You will be equipped with the necessary technology and resources to effectively serve our clients. This unique remote setting allows you to manage your schedule effectively while still engaging with clients during traditional business hours, with occasional evening and weekend hours dependent on client needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and evaluate clients’ unique social, emotional, and environmental challenges.
• Develop tailored service plans that set specific goals, outline actionable interventions, and include methods for progress monitoring.
• Provide individual and family counseling sessions to assist clients in overcoming difficulties in areas such as mental health, substance use, and family dynamics.
• Offer crisis intervention, performing risk assessments and safety planning to ensure the well-being of clients in immediate distress.
• Collaborate with clients to access appropriate community resources, ensuring comprehensive support that addresses their specific needs.
• Engage in community outreach activities aimed at raising awareness of available services and fostering community engagement.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating with colleagues to enhance service delivery.
• Document client interactions and maintain accurate records in accordance with agency policies and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with a diverse population, including individuals and families who are often marginalized or underserved in the community. You will engage with clients who face a range of adversities, such as economic hardships, mental health issues, and social injustices. Your support will empower them to identify personal strengths, mitigate challenges, and access crucial resources that can lead to transformative changes in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Florida.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles and their application in client interactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a high degree of cultural sensitivity.
• Proficiency in case management and ability to utilize electronic health record systems effectively.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in a social service agency, mental health setting, or related environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with local community resources and social justice initiatives.
• Experience providing crisis intervention and support to at-risk populations.

Compensation and Benefits
