Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to ascertain clients' psychological needs from initial consultation to treatment completion.

• Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans tailored to the unique needs of clients, which may include individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging and impactful one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and other appropriate modalities.

• Monitor and document clients' progress comprehensively throughout the treatment plan, adjusting approaches as necessary to maximize therapeutic efficacy.

• Collaborate seamlessly with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate effective intervention strategies.

• Follow up with emergency services and monitoring agencies as required for clients admitted to hospitals, maintaining a continuous care model.

• Proactively identify behaviors that hinder recovery, utilizing interventions to guide clients toward healthier patterns.

• Provide support and resources to family members and primary caregivers, empowering them to assist clients in managing mental and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client population is diverse, representing a range of ages, backgrounds, and presenting issues, from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance use disorders. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will engage with clients facing various challenges, providing both individual and group therapy to ensure tailored support for each unique situation.

Qualifications\n

• Education: A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is essential.

• Licensure: Must hold a current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, LCSW, or equivalent in the state of Texas.

• Certification: Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, alongside exceptional interpersonal skills, are critically important for this role.

• Technology: Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, is preferred to ensure efficient case management.

Preferred Experience\n

• A proven track record of previous experience as a mental health counselor, ideally within outpatient settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n
