Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions, either remotely or in-person, focusing on the emotional and behavioral needs of clients aged 3-20.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address issues such as anger management, social skills development, and coping strategies.
\n
• Work closely with families, emphasizing collaborative decision-making to effectively manage behavioral challenges at home.
\n
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, which may include social workers, educators, and medical professionals, to develop comprehensive treatment plans and coordinate care.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client progress, including intake forms and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations based on your clinical expertise.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on children and adolescents facing developmental and intellectual challenges, and we are particularly keen on supporting those with behavioral issues, including self-injurious behavior and aggression. The ideal candidate will be skilled in working with a varied clientele, ensuring they receive compassionate and individualized care that promotes resilience and growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Pennsylvania is essential.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 PM) with the potential for weekend hours.

• Demonstrated expertise in behavior management techniques is mandatory.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are prerequisites for this role.

• Completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required to ensure a safe environment for clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with children and young adults with behavioral and developmental challenges, particularly those with intellectual or developmental disabilities (I/DD).

• Familiarity with positive behavior support strategies and therapeutic interventions geared towards this demographic.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable and will be a determining factor in applications.

Compensation and Benefits\n
