Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy services aimed at preventing disability, managing pain, and restoring optimal physical function as per each client's individualized treatment plan.
• Conduct initial evaluations to assess clients' levels of function by performing diagnostic tests related to muscle, nerve, joint, and mobility.
• Actively oversee the implementation of care plans by supervising Physical Therapy Assistants and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
• Regularly communicate with the interdisciplinary team to review and adjust individualized care plans and discuss patient progress during case conferences.
• Document all clinical encounters thoroughly, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Educate clients and their families on therapeutic exercises, self-care strategies, and the appropriate use of therapeutic devices to enhance recovery efforts.
• Continuously monitor and report on any changes in client conditions and adjust treatment plans accordingly, consulting with physicians and interdisciplinary team members as necessary.
• Participate in the development of community resource strategies to facilitate client independence in their home environments.
• Remain accessible to assist and guide Physical Therapy Assistants during client treatment as required, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Complete additional assignments as needed to support the overall goals and objectives of the center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an acute or outpatient setting is essential.
• Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of Florida, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills to effectively engage and motivate patients while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations as they pertain to physical therapy practice.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and clinical excellence.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient rehabilitation or experience with specific patient populations relevant to our center's services.
• Exposure to interdisciplinary teamwork in a rehabilitation setting.
• Experience utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) systems for documentation and patient management.
• Leadership or mentorship experience with Physical Therapy Assistants and students.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
