Work Environment

This position allows you to work in a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing you to engage with clients from the comfort of your home while maintaining a flexible work-life balance. Your work schedule will be from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Leveraging modern technology and virtual platforms, you will conduct sessions, assess client needs, and provide timely interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough crisis assessments for individuals experiencing acute mental health emergencies to determine the appropriate level of care and intervention required.
• Provide immediate counseling and support to clients in distress, utilizing effective crisis intervention strategies to stabilize their conditions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams to ensure the safety of clients during high-risk situations and facilitate interventions when necessary.
• Establish ongoing follow-up care plans and provide recommendations for long-term support, ensuring clients have access to the resources they need after initial assistance.
• Utilize evidence-based techniques and de-escalation methods to manage challenging scenarios effectively, promoting a sense of safety and calm for clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development opportunities to refine crisis counseling skills and stay informed about the latest practices in mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing substance abuse issues, emotional crises, and traumatic experiences. These clients often seek immediate support and understanding during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Your approach should be culturally sensitive, empathetic, and flexible to accommodate the diverse backgrounds and needs of the clients you serve.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• At least three years of recent professional experience providing crisis intervention and mental health counseling services.
• Strong foundation in trauma-informed care and experience working with individuals in crisis.
• Proven ability to utilize evidence-based techniques in crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients in distress.
• Knowledge of ethical and legal standards relevant to crisis counseling practices.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in addiction therapy or working specifically with individuals facing substance use disorders.
• Additional training in specialized areas such as emotional crisis management or suicide prevention.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices.

Compensation and Benefits
